MAIN KEY PATIENCE….

It drives me insane when my kids won’t make up their mind, like its really hard to choose from an orange or an apple. In a way I think its all my fault, because I’m the one giving them options, giving them the chance to choose and letting them become a little independent how can I not let them. I mean for all we know life is about options, choices, and patience….

Did she just call me FAT….

So yesterday I asked my 4 year old daughter if she would let my husband and I go to the movies and this is how the conversation happened.

Mommy: “OMG Tony I so wanna go see Mockingjay!”

Allison: “Mommy you like movies?”

Mommy: “Yes I love watching movies just like you…”

Allison: “OW!!!”

Mommy: “Allison mommy hasn’t been to the movies in like forever, do you think you can take care of Kevin with grandma so mommy and daddy can go see a movie?”

Allison: “No mommy you to big, you don’t fit in the TV!”

JUST A REMINDER

Every time I see other parents with kids around the same age as my kids, I believe they have it all together and than I take a second look at them and know for fact that I’m delusional. I believe the fake smiles on their faces even though I can see right through them. I sometimes believe the lies that every parent in the world has patience for their children. Especially when I’m at a store, I feel like I’m the only parent disciplining all wrongs, raising my voice and can’t even seem to control my kids. Sometimes I just wish being a parent came with its own manual, especially in situations like this when all you wanna do is pull out your hair. I know I’m not the only one that feels like this but I’m pretty sure every parent has a moment here and there. With that said the only secret is to take a deep breath and and count to ten….

A Little About Me…..

Let me just start by saying I’ve never blogged before in my entire life (“entire” makes me swear like I’m old or something).

Hello! I’m Karen, a stay at home mom of two kiddos (Alli 4 & Kev 3) and an awesome wife, well that’s what my husband tells me all the time. In the last half decade or so, I met and married my best friend and the love of my life. Ever since we got married life has been “Bittersweet” especially the first three years. We have overcome every struggle we’ve had, even thought some were really hard to overcome. We still got through them even the ones that only time could heal. Life has gotten sweeter over the last two years, everything seems to be falling into place. Sure I could tell you a lot more about my life and myself but you’ll end up finding out about more stuff throughout the blogs I’m sure. In my five seconds of free time I enjoy coffee, tea, soap operas and reading. I’m still not quite sure what this blog is going to be about, maybe one day I may write about women rights,or  parenting, crafts, marriage, family you name it and I might just write about it. I hope that those who stumble across this blog will Read It, Enjoy It & Pass it on.
